Enrichment Credit Opportunity
For this unit, you have the opportunity to apply some biochemistry and knowledge of supersaturated solutions.
Using your culinary skills, you may make a type of candy that requires a supersaturated sugar solution as part of the recipe. No cheating (especially with fudge recipe), meaning no microwave fudge, no marshmallow fluff, etc.
This could include: fudge, peanut brittle, lollipops, caramel, or rock candy.
To get credit for this culinary application of knowledge, you need to bring in:
a sample of your creation
the recipe you used
a signature from a parent to verify you actually cooked it
Be prepared to answer a few questions about your experience.
This is due no later than test day. It is worth 10 points (EC).
